Design Requirements
When placing an asphalt surface treatment for parking all parking markings shall be restore to SECTION 32 17 23.16 Road and Parking Lot Pavement Markings Standards. Paving done adjacent to a fire hydrant shall include the addition of a blue double sided reflectorized raised pavement marker in the roadway at the location shown in "Typical Fire Hydrant Location Pavement Markers, available on the JBLM Design Standards. Detailed specifications for the pavement markers can be found in the Washington State Department of Transportation Standard Specification for Bridge and Road Construction, Sections 8-09 & 9-21.
