3.6 Contaminated Material Storage

Insert the following:

Storage shall comply with all applicable JBLM policies and regulations, to include installation Regulation 200-1.

3.8 Spills
|
Spill reporting and response on JBLM must conform to the JBLM Integrated Contingency Plan (ICP), to include the Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures Plan (SPCCP). Revise language in this paragraph as follows:

In the event of a spill or release of a hazardous substance (as designated in 40 CFR 302), pollutant, contaminant, or oil (as governed by the Oil Pollution Act (OPA), 33 U.S.C. 2701 et seq.), notify the Contracting Officer immediately. For any such spills on JBLM outside containment (to soil or water), or with the immediate potential of becoming so, notify 911 immediately when the occurrence is inside the cantonment; notify Range Support immediately at 253-967-6371/7974 when the occurrence is downrange. If calling on a cell phone, clearly state that the event is on JBLM and ensure JBLM Emergency Services are notified. Ensure all reporting and actions comply with the JBLM Integrated Contingency Plan (ICP), to include the Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Plan (SPCCP). File a completed spill report (HJB Form 228) with JBLM DPW ED Operations Branch (253-967-4786) within one business day of following the spill. Cleanup shall be in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. As directed by the Contracting Officer, additional sampling and testing shall be performed to verify spills have been cleaned up. Spill cleanup and testing shall be done at no additional cost to the Government.
