Design Requirements

 

  1. Generator controller shall be capable to interface the generator set to other power system equipment and network management systems using standard industry network communications. 

  2. New generator installation or replacement shall have raceway installed from generator to building EEDRS JACE Cabinet for future connection to remote monitoring system

  3. Manual Transfer Switch shall be 3-Way Switch equipped with interlocked breakers or controller to prevent cross-connecting power sources and color correct coded camlock receptacles allowing for safe isolated female connection points for load bank testing and portable generator male connection points.
  4. If Automatic Transfer Switch or Manual Transfer Switch to be utilized, a 3-Way Manual Transfer Switch must also be installed for safe annual testing requirements and for portable emergency generator connecting.
