If 01 33 29 is not incorporated in the specifications, change reference to 01 33 29 in this section to instead say 01 57 19.01 20 SUPPLEMENTAL TEMPORARY ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS and ensure the additional sustainable acquisition language at paragraphs "Submittals" and "Sustainable Acquisition" of 01 57 19.01 20 is included within that section.

As applicable based on project scope, include the following under "SD-01 Preconstruction Submittals" and "SD-11 Closeout Submittals":

1.3 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

NOTE: Per the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (Section 104), items shall meet the applicable Energy Star or FEMP standard.  Make selections and specify requirements accordingly.

 

1.3 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Add the following.

All ozone depleting substances are restricted on JBLM. Any use of such substances on JBLM requires submission of an exemption request form and prior written approval from the JBLM Pollution Prevention Program for actions on JBLM Lewis-Main, Lewis-North, McChord Field, or supported external facilities; or from JBLM-YTC Environmental Compliance for actions on JBLM-YTC. The exemption form can be obtained at ./doc_files/0226%20Restricted%20Chemical%20Exemption%20Request.pdf. In addition, any use of a class I ozone depleting substance requires Army Acquisition Executive approval and will be coordinated through the JBLM Air Program via the Contracting Officer or their representative.

 

Copies of the Safety Data Sheets(SDS) for all hazardous materials shall be submitted in accordance with Section 01 57 19.01 20 SUPPLEMENTAL TEMPORARY ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS.  Hazardous materials used must be on the contractor's Authorized Use List as issued by the JBLM Pollution Prevention Program.
