Note that the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 requires not less than 30 percent of the hot water demand for each new Federal building or Federal building undergoing a major renovation be met through the installation and use of solar hot water heaters, whenever lifecycle cost-effective as compared to other reasonably available technologies.  See UFC 1-200-02 and ASA IE&E SDD policy for more information.

 

1.2 SUBMITTALS

If 01 33 29 is not incorporated in the specifications, change reference to 01 33 29 in this section to instead say 01 57 19.01 20 SUPPLEMENTAL TEMPORARY ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS and ensure the additional sustainable acquisition language at paragraphs "Submittals" and "Sustainable Acquisition" of 01 57 19.01 20 is included within that section.

 

1.2 SUBMITTALS

 As applicable based on the project scope, incorporate the following under "SD-01 Preconstruction Submittals" and "SD-11 Closeout Submittals:
