  The UFGS cancelled this section in 2015. Language is now incorporated at 04 20 00. Only use this section for older contracts that incorporated 04 21 13.13 in their specifications. For any other contracts, including new ones, use 04 20 00. Only previously existing information has been updated below to remain current.  
1.2 SUBMITTALS If 01 33 29 is not incorporated in the specifications, change reference to 01 33 29 in this section to instead say 01 57 19 TEMPORARY ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS and ensure the additional sustainable acquisition language at paragraphs 1.3 and 1.7 of 01 57 19 is included within that section.  
1.2 SUBMITTALS [NOTE: In the column to the right, select 01 33 29 when it is incorporated into the specifications, otherwise select 01 57 19 and ensure it includes the added sustainable acquisition language at paragraphs 1.3 and 1.15]
 
Add the following under "SD-01 Preconstruction Submittals" and SD-11 "Closeout Submittals": 		Concrete and Cement (Recycled Content); S
1.2 SUBMITTALS At SD-01, add any necessary submittals to verify compliance with the low emission requirements in ASHRAE Standard 189.1, section 8.4.2 or 8.5.2 (for materials inside the weatherproofing). See also UFC 1-200-02.  
2.1 VENEER WYTHE Add the following sentences to the paragraph: Any Mortar or grout used in masonry construction for repairs or modifications to structures within the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Historic District which is exposed to view shall be tinted so as to approximate the color of an adjacent mortar or grout on the building.  See Manual Section "Restoration and Cleaning of Masonry in Historic Structures" for further guidance.
2.1.2 CONCRETE MASONRY UNIT [NOTE: In the column to the right, select 01 33 29 when it is incorporated into the specifications, otherwise select 01 57 19 and ensure it includes the added sustainable acquisition language at paragraphs 1.3 and 1.15]
 
Add the following: 		Materials shall conform to recycled content requirements in accordance with paragraph RECYCLED CONTENT in Section [01 33 29 SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING][01 57 19 ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION].  Note that slag content may be environmentally preferable to coal derivatives in accordance with FAR 23.7.
2.1.3 PREFACED CONCRETE MASONRY UNIT [NOTE: In the column to the right, select 01 33 29 when it is incorporated into the specifications, otherwise select 01 57 19 and ensure it includes the added sustainable acquisition language at paragraphs 1.3 and 1.15]
