1.2 SUBMITTALS If 01 33 29 is not incorporated in the specifications, change reference to 01 33 29 in this section to instead say 01 57 19.01 20 SUPPLEMENTAL TEMPORARY ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS and ensure the additional sustainable acquisition language at paragraphs "Submittals" and "Sustainable Acquisition" of 01 57 19.01 20 is included within that section.  
1.2 SUBMITTALS As applicable based on project scope, also incorporate the 'S' submittals at SD-11 under SD-01 Preconstruction Submittals so the Government can verify legal and policy compliance of proposed materials prior to work commencing.  
1.3.1 CERTIFIED SUSTAINABLY HARVESTED WOOD Ensure materials are FSC certified, whenever practicable based on availability and cost.  SFI or other credible certification can be used when FSC certified products are not available.  
1.3.2 INDOOR AIR QUALITY CERTIFICATIONS Specify requirements and make selections to comply with ASHRAE Standard 189.1, section 8.4.2 or 8.5.2.   
2.1 MATERIALS [NOTE: In the column to the right, select 01 33 29 when it is incorporated into the specifications, otherwise select 01 57 19.01 20 and ensure it includes added sustainable acquisition language at paragraphs "Submittals" and "Sustainable Acquisition" of that section]
 
Add the following: 		Provide interior application products and documentation meeting the requirements at Section [01 33 29 SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING][01 57 19.01 20 SUPPLEMENTAL TEMPORARY ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS] paragraph REDUCE VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (VOC) (LOW EMITTING MATERIALS).
2.1.1 UPHOLSTERY FABRIC Per AR 200-1, ensure materials are non-toxic or as low toxic as feasible.  Synthetic fire retardant chemicals with significant toxicity should be avoided were less toxic options are feasible.  
2.1.2 POLYURETHANE FOAM Per AR 200-1, ensure materials are non-toxic or as low toxic as feasible.  Synthetic fire retardant chemicals with significant toxicity should be avoided were less toxic options are feasible.

2.1 MATERIALS Add the following:  
Virgin materials shall not contain wood from endangered wood species unless the trade of such wood conforms with the requirements of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
