1.2 SUBMITTALS If 01 33 29 is not incorporated in the specifications, change reference to 01 33 29 in this section to instead say 01 57 19.01 20 SUPPLEMENTAL TEMPORARY ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS and ensure the additional sustainable acquisition language is included within that section.  
1.2 SUBMITTALS  As applicable based on project scope, also incorporate the 'S' submittals at SD-11 under SD-01 Preconstruction Submittals so that the Government can verify legal and policy compliance of proposed materials prior to work commencing.
 
As applicable based on project scope, add the following under "SD-01 Preconstruction Submittals and SD-11 Closeout Submittals":

2.1 PRODUCT SUSTAINABILITY CRITERIA Delete "For products in this section, where applicable and to extent allowed by
performance criteria, provide and document the following:" The language at 01 33 29/01 57 19.01 20 allows for exceptions based on performance criteria, as long as adequate justification per the applicable legal or policy requirement is provided on HJB Form 225.
 
2.1.1 RECYCLED CONTENT OF ACCESS FLOORING SYSTEM and 2.1.3 RECYCLED CONTENT OF FLOOR COVERING AND RESILIENT BASE NOTE: These requirements do not come from the EPA Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines. Thus, they are not typically addressed at the RECYCLED CONTENT paragraph of 01 33 29 or 01 57 19.01 20. If including for LEED credit attainment or some other reason, modify the language at 01 33 29 or 01 57 19.01 20 RECYCLED CONTENT paragraph to clarify and address basis for requirement.
 
In addition, consolidate these two subparagraphs at 2.1.1.
 
2.1.2 REDUCED VOC'S FOR PEDESTAL ADHESIVE and 2.1.4 REDUCED VOC'S FOR FLOOR COVERING (EXCLUDING CARPET TILE) through 2.1.7 REDUCED VOC'S FOR FLOOR COVERING AND RESILIENT BASE ADHESIVES [NOTE: In the column to the right, select 01 33 29 when it is incorporated into the specifications, otherwise select 01 57 19.01 20 and ensure it includes added sustainable acquisition language]
 
Consolidate these at 2.1.2 under the title "Reduce Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) (Low-Emitting Materials)
For Products" and revise language as follows:
Provide interior application products and documentation meeting the requirements at Section [01 33 29 SUSTAINABILITY REPORTING][01 57 19.01 20 SUPPLEMENTAL TEMPORARY ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROLS] paragraph REDUCE VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (VOC) (LOW EMITTING MATERIALS).
2.1.3 BIOBASED CONTENT FOR PRODUCTS [NOTE: In the column to the right, select 01 33 29 when it is incorporated into the specifications, otherwise select 01 57 19.01 20 and ensure it includes added sustainable acquisition language]
 
Create this section and include the following:

2.3.3.5 LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE FILLED PANELS (EXPOSED CONCRETE) Specify requirements to ensure compliance with biobased content requirement for concrete sealant.

2.3.4 FLOOR COVERING Specify requirements to comply with ASHRAE Standard 189.1, section 8.4.2 or 8.5.2, as well as biobased content requirement for non-carpet floor coverings. Consequently, do not specify laminate or vinyl floor coverings unless there is adequate justification for exception under Section 9002 of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act, submitted on HJB Form 225 per the instructions on the form.
